Linitis plastica

Gastric linitis plastica Jan 23, 2005
Patient with gastric carcinoma of linitis plastica type, confirmed after large gastric biopsies, with absent peristalsis and rigid gastric mucosa on endoscopic examination. Linear EUS showed thickening of the layers two to four (deep mucosa, submucosa and muscularis propria) visualized between the inflated balloon and a small cantity of ascites (blue arrows).

Linear EUS showed thickening of the layers two to four (deep mucosa, submucosa and muscularis propria) visualized between the inflated balloon, gastric water and serosa (blue arrows). The gastric wall was thickened to 11 mm.
