Patient with esophageal stenosis caused by extrinsec compression, with negative endoscopic biopsies. Linear EUS demonstrated an inhomogenous, hypoechoic tumor, with calcifications, located at 30 cm distance from the incisors. EUS-FNA established the diagnosis of malignancy, with the cytology smears showing clumps of small atypical cells in a background of erythrocytes and large pavimentous cells. |
