Extrinsec compressions

Extrinsec compressions Feb 12, 2005
Patient with esophageal stenosis caused by extrinsec compression, with negative endoscopic biopsies. Linear EUS demonstrated an inhomogenous, hypoechoic tumor, with calcifications, located at 30 cm distance from the incisors. EUS-FNA established the diagnosis of malignancy, with the cytology smears showing clumps of small atypical cells in a background of erythrocytes and large pavimentous cells.
