Hepatic artery aneurysm May 29, 2008
Patient with HCV liver cirrhosis presenting for jaundice, acholic stools and itching. Abdominal ultrasound revealed many hypoechoic, inhomogeneous masses in the liver (biopsy proven multicentric hepatocellular carcinoma), as well as an anechoic mass near the head of the pancreas. The Doppler exam revealed a pulsatile arterial flow inside the lesion. Endoscopic ultrasound indicated that the pseudoaneurysm belong to the hepatic artery. Contrast-enhanced angio-CT scan confirmed our findings.
