Patient with a 1.5 cm gastric submucosal tumor (GIST) located above the gastric angle, with hyperemic covering mucosa. EUS identified a homogenous tumor in the 3rd EUS layer (submucosa), with intact muscularis propria, ensuring the safety of subsequent endoscopic submucosal resection (ESMR). ESMR was performed by the cap aspiration method after submucosal injection of saline. The subsequent ulceration healed after 6 weeks. Pathology confirmed a benign GIST, completely resected (c-kit+, actin-, S-100-). |
