Adrenal metastasis in lung cancer Feb 15, 2009
Patient with biopsy-proven lung cancer with an enlarged left adrenal visualized by both CT and EUS (2.5 cm). The diagnosis of distant metastasis was confirmed by EUS-guided FNA from the left adrenal mass. Cytology exam showed clumps of atypical, diskariotic cells, in a background filled with erythrocytes.

Adrenal metastasis in lung cancer Feb 15, 2009
Large hypoechoic, inhomogenous mass at the level of the left adrenal, in the vicinity of the left kidney. The mass had discrete vascular signals in power Doppler mode, but was highly vascular after contrast-enhancement (Sonovue), with pulsatile flow identified in pulsed Doppler mode. The diagnosis of lung cancer metastasis was confirmed by EUS-guided FNA.

Left adrenal metastasis Sep 9, 2005
Patient with biopsy-proven non small-cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) was staged by EUS. A 3 cm in-homogenous mass, with hypo- and hyper-echoic regions, was visualized by EUS at the level of the left adrenal. Diagnosis of left adrenal metastasis was confirmed by EUS-guided FNA (provided by Prof. Dr. Peter Vilmann, Dr. Adrian Saftoiu).
