| Pancreatic abscess |

| Patient with severe acute necrotizing pancreatitis, with a suspicion of pancreatic abscess, confirmed on both CT and EUS. EUS-guided FNA of the hypoechoic lesion yielded pus, while cultures were positive for Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The patient was referred for surgical drainage which subsequently confirmed the abscess. |

| Patient with repeated urinary tract infections, with a suspicion of retroperitoneal abscess, located between the spleen and left kidney, posterior of the stomach, confirmed on both CT and EUS. EUS-guided FNA of the hypoechoic lesion yielded pus, while cultures were positive for E. coli. The patient was referred for surgical drainage which subsequently confirmed the abscess. |
